What our members say!

When Sunday Comes started out as a spiritual lifeline when the Pandemic shut down the churches.  I was intrigued by the idea of meeting an inter-generational group of smart black women of faith. It has become a spiritual home, a safe haven, a place to expand my understanding of God and his word, to ask the hard questions of faith in action, exploring the meaning in my life as a black woman now. Coming together without the confines of religion, looking beyond the stigmas of age, we are able to grow as equal daughters of God, respecting the wisdom and experience each one brings. We’ve emerged, a trusted sisterhood, a caring family, praying for and with each other as we go through the joys and challenges of life.  It is what “church” should be - supporting, praying, helping, encouraging, blessing others and preparing them to go forth and share God’s love.

When Sunday Comes

Sunday is always here. You can probably find it with your sister.

When Sunday Comes is a digital faith formation space for Black women. We encourage women to be creative, curious, and courageous as we create a compassionate and brave space for women to engage Scripture, God, life, faith and each other.

Worship

When Sunday Comes is not your average worship experience and no two Sundays are the same. We incorporate spiritual disciplines from diverse Christian traditions, small groups and large group sessions, storytelling and interactive activities to create our unique worship experience.

We do not believe that there is one authority in the room. Instead, we do our best to live out the priesthood of believers.

When Sunday comes is a blessing to me. It has made me understand myself. I have learned so much about myself. It's like everything that happened to me was meant to be and it was all in God's plan since the day I was born and he kept me so I wouldn't let go. Thank you Lord!
