What
Day Without Womxn In Church is a two-part outdoor event, starting with a worship and arts program followed by a community fair centering Black Womxn & Girls.
The Worship and Arts program will include a City-Wide Women's Choir and Praise Dance Team.
The fair will focus on Black Womxn owned businesses and organizations as well as resources that benefit Black Womxn and Girls.
Why
- Demonstrate Believing Black Womxn’s People Power
- Stand Against the structural and institutional forces in the church that oppress womxn
- Affirm the diverse ways Black Womxn do ministry
- Provide space for healing from church/religious abuse and maltreatment
- Charge attendees to come together for a purpose larger than themselves and individual ministries/organizations
